Vance stated that Russia can't count on the occupation of Ukraine

Russia cannot expect to get Ukrainian territories. It has not even conquered these lands yet.

Why will Russia not get Ukrainian territories?

Vance emphasized that America wants Ukraine to remain a sovereign state.

"Russia cannot expect to be given back territories that it has not even conquered. And these are the things they included in that initial peace plan," the Vice President of the United States emphasized.

He also added that Russia's talks with Ukraine are already progressing, but Washington knew that Moscow would initially put forward excessive conditions.

As a reminder, the Vice President of the United States called Russia's demands for a ceasefire excessive. He believes that the absence of direct talks between Russians and Ukrainians is absurd.
